“Find yourself a damn good place to hide.” – Stephen Hartwell was established by BAT (the purveyor of Players and du Maurier cigarettes) in 2004. At that time, Nancy Daigneault, an employee of BAT, was installed as President.

Although claimed to represent smokers, the “members” of (they claimed 41,000 of them, but they never issued a single membership card, nor collected a cent in dues) never had an opportunity to elect the leaders of this organization.
